Obstacles 2024

A 2024 rework of painting of Amber, an American friend, originally done in 2018. It is characterised by the light, limited colour scheme, a very thick paint application, intriguing textures and the gestural style. The painting emphasises mood and character over mere likeness of the subject. Media: oil on canvas. 40 x 40 x 1.5 cm (15.7 x 15.7 x 1 in).
