I have been painting the human form for the last three years, focusing on the face and its rich micro-geography. It is an attempt to articulate the visually compelling and thought provoking comment on the common yet intriguing concept of the human condition. Not focusing on the classically prescribed beauty but on rich paint applications, intriguing close-ups and untold elements, my attempt is to direct an observer to a more personal experience.
I often paint from my own reflection in the mirror or from an ocasional sitter, when circumstances allow, as well as from any other available sources including photographs. I welcome commissions.
