Charcoal Manipulations

A new technique that I have recently developed, involving smearing of charcoal marks with a brush soaked in Liquin or turpentine. A messy yet rewarding process that allows for the total spontaneity of expression, where an accidental mark may appear intentional and vice versa. The most recent examples appear to be challenging the very notion of what is rational and visually normalised in drawing. The intense and energetically manipulated application of the medium becomes a direct result of the deeply felt experience of living.

Please note: all unsold works are available for purchase either from my Etsy store or directly from myself.
